Tone-ontone tag

This tone-on-tone technique is ideal to make backgrounds. It's about stamping an image of the same (or very similar) color on a card stock of the same color. I applied a light blue ink with an ink blending tool, and let it dry for 1 hour approximately. If it's wet the technique doesn't work because the next ink blends with the first one. Once dry, I stamped the snowflakes with a blue ink. I die cut it with a tag die.

I stamped "merry christmas" with black ink and with a marker I wrote "to" and "from". I tied a black twine to finish the tag.

On your wedding Window card

This card is simple yet elegant, perfect for wedding cards.

I started with a 5" square card.
I die cut a circle in the middle of the front panel of the card.
I cut a 4.5" square of white cardstock and cut the same circle in the middle
I die cut a scallop circle nested with the same circle to make a frame.
I adhered the scallop frame with liquid glue. I did this first to avoid liquid glue on the plastic later on.
I adhered the plastic to the back side of the front panel with tape, and hided the adhesive with the 4.5 panel aligning the circle.
I stamped "on your wedding" with black ink.

For the flower:
I removed the static from a piece of white cardstock.
I stamped the rose and the petals with clear sticky ink, and heat embossed them with white embossing powder.
I colored with pink and green markers.

Pearlized effect 2 ways

These Christmas cards with blue metallic effect can be achieved in two ways:

1) Distress ink + perfect pearls

After heat embossing the snowflakes in white, I applied salty ocean ink with a broad water brush. I then sprayed with perfect pearls mist and let it air dry.

2) Metallic gelato

I rubbed the metallic gelato over the white heat embossed image, and used water and a brush to blend. I burnished it with a sponge, and cleaned the excess with a paper towel.
